Germany: Power generation from nuclear energy at lowest level since 1991
M
This was the lowest level since a total of 147.4 billion kilowatt hours were produced in 1991. Furthermore, the percentage of nuclear energy in German power generation fell to 22.2 percent in 2007 (2006: 26.3%). The decline in production is due to the still partially existing shutdown of various nuclear power plants following technical faults. The decline in power generation from nuclear energy by 27 billion kilowatt hours has clearly not affected Germany
