PNE WIND AG completed ground survey Gode Wind II

Cuxhaven, Germany - The wind farm developer PNE WIND AG has completed the necessary building ground survey for the sites of all planned 84 wind energy plants and the transformer station.

The survey was carried out by Fugro Consult GmbH with technical support from two representatives of the foundation engineers Steinfeld&Partner GbR, who also produced the survey concept. The work in the project area about 40 kilometres to the north of the island of Norderney took around 10 weeks. For the survey, the 111-metre-longe offshore drilling ship "Fugro Saltire" was used, which among other things has its own 150-ton crane on board and was placed into service in 2008 especially for offshore deployments.

With the completion of this deep building ground survey at the sites of the future offshore wind energy plants, an important step has been taken in the framework of the concrete technical development of the offshore project "Gode Wind II".
