Husum, Germany – Vestas’ newest customer, the DTEK Group, has ordered 30 V112-3.0 MW turbines for the Ukraine.

These turbines constitute the first part of the Botievo project, which will have a capacity of 195 MW when completed. The Botievo project is located in the coastal area of the Zaporozhye region, near the village of Botievo. The DTEK Group is the largest privately owned, vertically integrated energy company in Ukraine with a portfolio of coal and electricity generation and sales. The order includes supply, installation and commissioning of 30 V112-3.0 MW wind turbines. A service agreement is under negotiation. The project is scheduled to be competed in the fourth quarter of 2012.

“It is a pleasure to announce that we have sold 30 V112 turbines in the Ukrainian market,” says Dr. Wolfgang J. We are also proud to provide our experience and quality in being a full-service partner to DTEK Group as we support their vision to further develop Ukraine’s wind energy sector.”
