Gamesa sales wind farm in Poland to RWE Innogy

Zamudio, Spain - Gamesa has signed an agreement with RWE Renewables Polska for the sale of the 14 MW Krzecin wind farm located in the Western Pomeranian region of northeast Poland.

Gamesa developed and built this wind farm which comprises seven Gamesa G90-2.0 MW turbines. This agreement marks the second agreement reached between the two companies in the wind energy market, Gamesa having sold RWE Innogy a 32 MW wind farm in Poland 18 months ago.

The agreement reinforces Gamesa's wind farm development and sale business in Eastern Europe, specifically in Poland where it has sold multiple wind energy developments in recent months and where it had a pipeline of 800 MW at the end of the first quarter of 2012. The Polish facilities, coupled with those of Romania and Bulgaria, bring the portfolio managed by the company in Eastern Europe to 2,550 MW.
