Nordex raises full-year guidance for 2013
The Nordex Group posted in its newest press release a 57 per cent increase in sales to around 661 million euros in the first half of 2013 (2012: 421 million euros). The company registered 93 per cent of its sales in the growing European market while the sales volume in America and Asia declined. The positive results were in large part due to a new generation of products that afforded the wind turbine maker a performance edge in the European market.
Increased productivity, the successful marketing of new turbines and technical solutions and various cost-cutting efforts contributed to a significant improvement in earnings to 15 million euros before interest and taxes (EBIT). This increase stands in stark contrast to the loss of 13.1 million euros the company suffered in the first half of 2012. Especially important for sales was the European market.
