Ostwind AG is expanding its managing board

Regensburg/Strasbourg/Prague - The Ostwind-Group, based in Regensburg, Strasbourg and Prague, has announced that it is expanding the managing board of the holding company Ostwind AG.

The announcement was made on the occasion of the upcoming Windenergy 2014 in Hamburg, the new leading trade fair for the German wind power sector. Gisela Wendling-Lenz and Ulrich Lenz, the existing managing board members who together founded Ostwind over 20 years ago, will be joined by Fabien Kayser from France and Bernd Kiermeier from Germany.

Gisela Wendling-Lenz and Ulrich Lenz explain the reasons behind this expansion: "We wish to consolidate the company group's international identity and provide our family of companies with a more distinctly European profile." They add that the move is also a reaction to the restructuring of the support scheme for renewable energies brought about by the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG) 2014. "This is a beacon for Germany, and could be a game-changer for the entire EU. We have been called on to forge a new approach to wind energy on an international scale
