Nordex installs 12 wind turbines in southern Germany

Hamburg - Nordex has now received two orders at the same time from its new customer, the Fronteris Group from Regensburg.

The sites for the two projects, "Hohenzellig" and "Bucheck", are located near Hof in Bavaria, where the N117/2400 turbines will achieve an above-average capacity factor of up to 34 percent. This high energy yield is possible because the is ideally suited to the regional wind conditions and Fronteris decided to have 141-metre hybrid towers installed for the project. Together the two wind farms will supply at least 20,000 households with "green" electricity, making a valuable contribution to the regional energy balance.
