Hareon Solar JV announces joint venture in India

Shanghai, China - Hareon Solar Technology Company Ltd. announced a strategic partnership with the signing of a joint venture(JV) agreement with the renowned Indian Dalmia Group. The Hareon Solar subsidiary Hareon Solar Singapore Private Limited signed the JV agreement with Keshav Power Limited in India.

Hareon Solar and Keshav Power, through the JV company Hareon Solar Power Private Limited, aim to build a state-of-the-art solar cell manufacturing facility in India. According to the company the facility is to incorporate production technology and process engineering from Hareon Solar to manufacture up to 1000 MW/yr. of silicon solar cells. Phase-1 with a capacity of 160 MW/yr. is expected to be operational by mid-2016.

As the company points out, Hareon Solar is the first major Chinese solar company to announce a definitive agreement for setting up manufacturing in India. This follows close behind Hareon Solar
