Gamesa lands 200 MW order in Mexico - Vestas wins 36 MW order in Ireland

Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has received a new order for the supply of 200 MW at a wind farm located in the state of Coahuila, in northern Mexico. Under the terms of the agreement, the company will install and commission 95 of its G114-2.1 MW turbines at this development. The turbines are slated for delivery during the first half of this year and the facility is expected to be operational towards the end of 2016.

Ever since it began to do business in Mexico back in 1999, Gamesa has been very active in its capacity as OEM, having installed over 1,700 MW, and as wind farm developer, with a sizeable pipeline at various stages of development. Gamesa has recently announced its plans to build a wind tower factory through Windar Renovables, the joint venture with the Daniel Alonso Group.

Danish manufacturer Vestas announced, that Impax Asset Management has placed a firm and unconditional order for 11 units of Vestas
